And yet again I missed a week. I didn’t actually buy anything last week, so oh well. At least I’ve had my last two twitter spree posts to keep you entertained. But now, it’s all about the comics, and with not getting last week’s books until this week, there are a lot of them. What did you pick up that I should check out?
Ouch. SEVEN BOOKS THIS WEEK. My wallet is hurt. A bunch of good Marvel books came out this week (including a much-needed second printing). I keep wanting to cut back on books, and I do in a way (Superman and Wonder Woman are out of the list), but then I keep picking up new books. Comment on my list and tell me how you manage your monthly titles.
I’m off to Ohayocon in a couple of hours, hopefully to find an interesting story to tell. Before that though, I grabbed some comics. Sadly not the sold-out Fantastic Four #587, the end of the storyline “Three” that sees the death of one of the team members (Look around the internet. Marvel spoiled it for everyone.). Alas, that’s what second printings are for. Anyway, enough about me. What all are you reading?
And this is why I’m changing the name of this feature. Notice how today is not Wednesday. In fact, I’m typing this Thursday, but I think this would be a better end-of-week thing. Still working on some formatting standards I want to keep through (comic listing, title using “week of” or date posted, etc.), but it’ll get settled down eventually. Anyway here’s this week’s pull list for the week of November 15, 2010
Hola! And he posts again. Sorry everyone (all two of you) for the lack of updates. NikoScream has been more NikoQuiet as of late. Now with GMX over, that’s one less thing to fill my plate (at least until MTAC, so go pre-register).
Anyway, I’m going to try to stay regular at the very least with a new segment here – What’s New Wednesdays. As Wednesday is long regarded as new comic book day, it’s a great day to post my purchases for the week, with occasional other stuff. Changes may occur, such as me not writing descriptions as they’re time consuming or actually getting comics some other day, but let’s see how it goes.
