Favorite in 2009 – Tokusatsu Heroes
I’m glad to say my favorite tokusatsu series of 2009 hits close to home – Power Rangers RPM. Undoubtedly the best Power Rangers series in recent years, Power Rangers RPM is sadly the final entry in the 16-year-old franchise for the foreseeable future. Disney is giving Power Rangers a break, beginning with re-airing the original Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers series in its place. Remarkably enough, RPM ended its run on the last Saturday of the year and decade, as well as on the 700th episode of the franchise.
Short Friday Post of New Toku Toys
Didn’t get much done this week for NikoScream. Working on a movie review that will hopefully be posted elsewhere soon. Of course, you can still find me on CineGeek for weekly comic reviews and occasional appearances on the CineGeek Podcast.

Introducing Kamen Rider Skull
Just in time for Halloween.
Adrienzo over at the toku blog site ossia unveiled the latest addition to the Kamen Rider W cast: Kamen Rider Skull. Skull seems to appear in the December W movie, and the hat may be a tip to his identity for anyone who has seen the first episode of Kamen Rider W.
Making of Decade Movie and an Expensive Guitar
I found these YouTube videos on 4chan’s /m/ board the other day. They’re two parts of a making-of video for Kamen Rider Decade: All Riders Vs. DaiShocker. If you want to watch, I want to warn you that you may get spoiled, just as every pre-release marketing may do. Still, you get to see some neat Showa vs. Heisei fights and Riders from all ages just beating down Shocker grunts.
